Network Description

Professional Learning Networks (PLNs) are collaborative groups of educators, policymakers, and researchers working beyond their immediate contexts to improve outcomes for children. PLNs foster continuous professional learning essential for educators as knowledge workers.

Network Objectives

  1. Advance research on collaborative learning.
  2. Support evidence-based practice related to PLNs.
  3. Facilitate diverse engagement among educators, researchers, and policymakers.
  4. Explore PLN sustainability and impact.
  5. Encourage innovation in professional learning.

Network Activities

  • Organize special journal issues and book series.
  • Host symposia, workshops, and other sessions at ICSEI and other international conferences.
  • Facilitate collaborative publications.
  • Provide networking opportunities.
  • Support mini-conferences and other initiatives.
  • Offer mentorship and collaboration spaces.
  • Curate resources and tools for PLN development.
  • Encourage innovation in PLN design, implementation, and evaluation.
