We are pleased to share a call for papers for a special issue of the School Leadership and Management Journal (SLAM) that will be guest edited by Paul Campbell, Stephen MacGregor, and Nicola Sum.
The title is:
‘Catalysts of Change: School Leadership and Innovation in Education’
This special issue of School Leadership and Management (SLAM) seeks to explore the multifaceted nature of innovation in education, examining how school leadership can drive and sustain innovative practices and outcomes. We invite contributions that offer theoretical, conceptual, and empirical insights into the complex interplay between school leadership and innovation across diverse educational contexts and systems.
We invite contributions to address one or more of the following questions:
💭 How is innovation in education conceptualized, and what are the implications for school leadership and change?
💭What leadership approaches and strategies are most effective in fostering innovation in diverse educational settings?
💭How do socio-cultural factors and broader social contexts impact the relationship between leadership and innovation in education?
