Dr Pierre Tulowitzki is a professor at the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland where he holds the Chair of Educational Management and School Improvement. His research interests revolve around leadership and innovation in schools. In addition to serving as a board member of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI), Pierre Tulowitzki serves as the vice-president of the Swiss Society for Research in Education.
Pierre’s work has explored various facets of impactful leadership as well as how school can successfully navigate change. In addition, he has analyzed how to support the development of school networks as well as school identity. He serves on the editorial board of several international journals such as Educational Management Administration & Leadership, Leadership and Policy in Schools and the International Journal of Educational Management. In addition, he serves as a managing editor for the Journal für Schulentwicklung, one of the oldest German-speaking journals on school improvement.
