Andy Hargreaves and Pasi Sahlberg

There is a global crisis of recruitment and retention in the teaching profession. Among the needed strategies for resolving the crisis is simply changing how the job feels. Instead of micromanagement and suspicion, teachers need autonomy and trust. Instead of top-down implementation in systems of compliance, teachers need collaborative engagement in cultures of continuous innovation. This session will introduce participants to inspiring ideas, uplifting examples and complete practical strategies on how to develop collaborative cultures of continuous innovation in their schools…more information

School Belonging in Action

Kathryn Riley, Kelly-Ann Allen and Mohammed Elmeski

The master class aims to equip educators with the tools and knowledge to create inclusive and supportive educational environments. It combines empirical research and practical approaches to explore strategies for fostering school belonging…more information

Mark Rickinson, Jo Gleeson and Blake Cutler

And how can it be developed and supported within schools? Drawing on the work of the Monash Q Project in Australia, this masterclass will explore: (i) the idea of quality use of research or using research well; and (ii) what can enable its development in schools. Participants will get to use the Quality Use of Research Evidence (QURE) Assessment Tool and engage with practical examples from Australian schools…more information
